East Hampton is not a desert—far from it!—so this Sunday morning, let’s count our blessings, take advantage of the cool fall weather, and imitate the diehard athletes showcased in the HIFF 2013 documentary Desert Runners.

The filmmakers invite you to a free Community Run at 8:30 am on Sunday, in advance of the film’s screening at the UA Cinema 6 later that day. The inspiring Samantha Gash (once you see the film, you will be an instant fan!), one of the intrepid runners featured in the film, will lead the pack, departing from the Lululemon store in East Hampton, located at 35 Main Street. Lululemon has generously offered to open early so that the runners can hydrate and use their facilities after the run.
