Opening Night of the 27th Annual Hamptons Film Festival was spectacular!
Filmmakers, founders, board members, and film fans were rewarded for braving the weather in East Hampton. Before Executive Director Anne Chaisson and Artistic Director David Nugent officially opened the festival, HIFF Co-Chairs Alec Baldwin and Randy Mastro presented our Founding Chair Toni Ross with the Dick Cavett Artistic Champion Award. In just its third year of existence, the award has already become a treasured HamptonsFilm tradition.
After the presentation, audiences enjoyed a tremendously moving film to kick off the long weekend: JUST MERCY was just the ticket to set the tone for a meaningful conversation around film.
The celebrating continued at Wölffer Estate Vineyard, where our guests were looking forward to four more days of movies, parties, conversations and so much more. We’ll see you at the movies…
