Babette’s Feast

In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the New York Film Festival, BABETTE’S FEAST will be presented by the Hamptons International Film Festival, Guild Hall and The Film Society of Lincoln Center.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of its screening at the New York Film Festival, this Academy Award ® winner for Best Foreign Language Film is considered to be the quintessential cinematic ode to gastronomy.

Building to a triumphant scene of a feast prepared by an exiled French master chef, the film is based on a short story by Isak Dinesen, best known for writing OUT OF AFRICA.

Stay for an enriching post-screening discussion with Bob Giraldi (co-owner, Jean Georges; director, DINNER RUSH), Bob Spitz (author, DEARIE: THE REMARKABLE LIFE OF JULIA CHILD), and Fern Berman (publicist, Julia Child). Moderated by Geoffrey Drummond (producer, MY DINNER WITH ANDRE, Eric Ripert’s [AVEC ERIC]).

A delicious complimentary dessert will be served following the screening, courtesy of Babette’s Restaurant.

Happy 50th Birthday,
New York Film Festival!
