It’s Shark Week, and you know what that means… we’re gonna need a bigger boat!
It’s the 50th anniversary of JAWS (and the birth of the summer blockbuster), and our FREE screening of JAWS on Wednesday, July 23, at Main Beach broke HIFF attendance records! Check out all the photos on our Instagram account.
HamptonsFilm was joined by Dr. Craig O’Connell—local shark expert, Wildlife Presenter on Shark Week, and founder of O’Seas Foundation and Montauk Shark Lab! Dr. O’Connell brought shark jaws and artifacts, and led a brief talk on shark conservation on Long Island.
We offered a special shark-themed giveaway, and put the audience’s JAWS knowledge to the test with JAWS-themed trivia hosted by Chief Creative Officer David Nugent and Dr. O’Connell, with special guest Molly Scheider—daughter of JAWS star Roy Scheider!
