HamptonsFilm is thrilled to announce that the poster for the 34th annual Hamptons International Film Festival features artwork from acclaimed artist and East Hampton resident Almond Zigmund, continuing our 34-year tradition of featuring artwork from local Hamptons artists.
This year’s poster features Almond Zigmund’s piece Red, White and Blue: 2025, a 22 x 30-inch monoprint on paper created by Zigmund with master printer Samuel Havens at The Church in Sag Harbor.
Almond Zigmund (pictured, left) makes large-scale site responsive installations, discrete sculptures, works on paper and paintings. Combining crisp geometry, vivid color, and intricate patterns, her sculptures and installations often suggest walls, barricades, enclosures, and other aspects of the built environment. The architectonic works tend to engage the eye and the body at once, offering generous amounts of visual stimulation while also inducing visceral reactions to the virtual and actual spaces. She received a BFA from Parsons School of Design, in New York and Paris and an MFA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she studied under critic Dave Hickey.
Zigmund’s work has been widely exhibited and is held in public and private collections, including The New Museum, The Parrish Art Museum, The Marjorie Barrack Museum, Sprint/Nextel Collection, Onna House and the Pizzuti Collection. She has completed two commissions for the NYC Dept of Transportation, large-scale murals at the Parrish Art Museum, The Whitman Walker Health Center in Washington DC, Guild Hall in East Hampton, University of Laverne in Los Angeles and One Financial Plaza as part of the Brookfield Arts program. She recently completed a commission for the US State Department Art in Embassies Program in Paraguay. Almond Zigmund’s Even, Still, a public sculpture commissioned by HYHK Alliance, is currently on view In Bella Abzug Park in NYC.
“We are honored to welcome acclaimed artist Almond Zigmund as the official poster artist for the 2026 Hamptons International Film Festival,” said Bob Feinberg, Executive Director of HamptonsFilm. “Almond’s work is instantly recognizable for its crisp geometry, vibrant color, and intricate patterns that invite viewers to experience space in new ways. Like many of the films showcased at HIFF, her work is visually captivating while also evoking an emotional, physical response. We’re thrilled to feature her artwork as the visual identity for this year’s Festival.”
