We are thrilled to announce today that THE IRISHMAN will screen as the Friday Centerpiece film on October 11 at Guild Hall. The film, directed by Martin Scorsese, is based on the novel I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt, and explores the life of Frank Sheeran and his career as a mob hitman, starring Academy Award®-winning actors Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.

“The lineup for the 27th edition of the festival includes some of this year’s most anticipated films, as well as a number of exciting new voices,” said David Nugent, Artistic Director of the Hamptons International Film Festival.

THE IRISHMAN

Friday Centerpiece
Director: Martin Scorsese

Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci star in Martin Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN, an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.
