SummerDocs Slideshow: ‘COLD CASE HAMMARSKJÖLD’

On Saturday, July 20, HIFF continued our 11th summer of SummerDocs, presented in partnership with Guild Hall, with the wildly entertaining international thriller COLD CASE HAMMARSKJÖLD, directed by Mads Brügger.

After the screening, HIFF Co-Chair Alec Baldwin and Artistic Director David Nugent engaged in a deep-dive Q&A with Brügger on stage at Guild Hall. One of the many memorable anecdotes from the conversation included Brügger describing the weird organizations involved in the cover-up “as though Scientology and Hezbollah had a love child.”

The screening was preceded by a reception at a private home in East Hampton. Thanks to our hosts Kevin Bishop and Heather Richardson. The event was sponsored by DuJour Media and Elegant Affairs, which catered incredible delicacies for our guests. Thanks also to Arthur Golabek for the stunning flowers.

COLD CASE HAMMARSKJÖLD opens in theaters on August 16.
A Magnolia Pictures release.

The series will conclude with CIRCUS OF BOOKS on Saturday, August 24, at 7pm, with director Rachel Mason scheduled to attend. Tickets are on sale now.
