Slideshow: ‘WHITNEY. CAN I BE ME’ at SummerDocs

Last night our popular SummerDocs series expanded to Southampton for the first time, with WHITNEY. CAN I BE ME, an intimate and revealing portrait of iconic superstar Whitney Houston.

Before the screening at UA Southampton 4, guests gathered for a pre-screening reception at Union Cantina. Acclaimed artist Eric Fischl was on hand to generously sign the newly-unveiled poster for the 25th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival, which features his gorgeous artwork.

Thanks to executive producer Ben Silverman and director Rudi Dolezal, who shared behind-the-scenes insights about the incredible footage he was able to capture for the film, for joining HIFF Artistic Director David Nugent for the post-film Q&A.

If you missed the film, you can catch it on Showtime beginning this weekend!

Presented by HighTower Sports & Entertainment and The Purist, with support from Ann Ciardullo and Keith Green of Sotheby’s International Realty. Additional thanks go out to Calissa Hamptons (and James in particular!) for their generosity.
