We had a beautiful, sunny Sunday out East…which we appreciated from inside the dark theater, being treated to another wonderful day of MOVIES! Today is the official halfway mark for HIFF31, and while we never want the fest to end, we are so excited about all the films we have yet to share with you all! It’s another beautiful day today… see you at the movies!
Sunday we were so honored to have the World Premieres of SILENT FALLOUT: BABY TEETH SPEAK, attended by Director Hideaki Ito, his translator Rieko Tomomatsu, and Narrator Alec Baldwin; THEY CALLED HIM MOSTLY HARMLESS, attended by Director Patricia E. Gillespie and Producer Ethan Goldman; THESE DAYS, attended by Director Junior Gonzalez, Executive Producer Victor Perez, and many more from the team!
We also shared the U.S. Premieres OF PRAYING FOR ARMAGEDDON, attended by Director Tonje Hessen Schei and Executive Producer Hussain Currimbhoy and SUMMER QAMP, attended by Director Jen Markowitz and Executive Producers Lauren Heimer and J.C. Mills.
And the East Coast Premiere of MOURNING IN LOD, attended by Director Hilla Medalia and Executive Producer Sheila Nevins.
Between screenings, our friends aat NYWIFT was gracious enough to host a lovely brunch at Mulford Farm to celebrate all of the invaluable contributions that women have made to the world of film—we thank them for their continued support of HIFF!
Finally, we rounded out another great day with some fun at Coche Comedor, featuring signature cocktails by Mezcal Union!
