Nothing is Ever ‘Sold Out’! Get to Know the Rush Line Policy…

When you’re browsing the HIFF27 Film Guide, don’t be discouraged if you see the words RUSH ONLY—there’s still hope!

Rush Sales

Some of the films screening at HIFF27 are going to be more in demand than others; that’s just the way it is. But remember: just because advance tickets are no longer available for a particular screening, you still have a very good shot at seeing the movies you want.

For each screening at the Festival, a Rush Line will form at the event venue approximately 45 minutes before the scheduled start time. About 5 minutes before the scheduled start time, we will start to admit ticket-buyers from the Rush Line, based on availability inside the venue.

Audiences report a 97% success rate on the Rush Lines!

A few things to keep in mind: admission is never guaranteed on a Rush Line, and you can only buy one ticket per person. So make sure everyone in your party is with you in line, because when sales start, they are brisk. We want to make sure the shows start on time.

Ticket and Passholder Policies

An important reminder for ticket- and pass-holders: to guarantee your seat, you must be present in line at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. After that time, we reserve the right to sell any empty seats.

Founder Pass-holders’ preferred access expires 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the screening or event. At the 15-minute mark, a red flag will appear in the admission line. The red flag will signify that Founder Pass-holders will be seated after individual ticket holders, based on availability. It is advised that everyone should arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the scheduled start time.
