HIFF Programming at East Hampton Library: GODS AND MONSTERS

Exciting news! Going forward, Hamptons Film will program film screenings at the East Hampton Library throughout the year. What’s more, HIFF Members will have a guaranteed seat.

That’s right, with the launch of the HIFF Membership program, Hamptons Film is delighted to announce year-long film programming in partnership with the East Hampton Library!

First up: on Friday, December 11, at 4:00 pm, revisit Bill Condon‘s 1998 classic GODS AND MONSTERS, starring Ian McKellen, Brendan Fraser, and Lynn Redgrave. Join special guest (and Golden Globe nominee) Carter Burwell, who composed the music for the film.

Dir. Bill Condon | 1998
Once a powerful Hollywood director best known for FRANKENSTEIN, James Whale (Ian McKellen) is long since retired and in poor health. His stalwart housekeeper Hanna (Lynn Redgrave) quietly disapproves of Whale’s faceless, nameless parade of young gay lovers, but when the director takes an interest in new gardener Clayton Boone (Brendan Fraser), a former Marine and Korean War veteran, it seems to be for something more than his usual casual conquest.
