A portrait of an unconventional woman discovering what it takes to change your life mid-stream. STRANGE WEATHER is a lyrical, emotionally rich drama about how to be fully alive in the face of tragedy, about forgiveness, grace, redemption and the power of moving on.

A behind-the-scenes look at all that goes into assembling the films and programs as well as advice on the best way to navigate the next four days!

Moderated by former HIFF Juror and East Hampton Star Editor-in-Chief David Rattray. Introduction from Executive Director Anne Chaisson. Free; no ticket required. Breakfast will be served!

For 17 years, HIFF’s Conflict & Resolution section has featured important films with global perspectives. This year’s winning film follows a group of Israeli soldiers and Palestinian fighters who bravely transition from former enemies to peace activists. Their transformational journey is a testament to the courage necessary to challenge the status quo despite the resistance. Today’s screening includes a panel featuring subjects from the film and the director.
