Join two-time Academy Award® winner Barbara Kopple as she discusses her ground-breaking career as a documentary director. Her latest film, the hopeful and heartbreaking Running From Crazy, will screen at HIFF 2013 on October 10 and 11. In the film, actress Mariel Hemingway explores the legacy of depression, substance abuse and suicide within the legendary family. Julie Anderson, Executive Producer of Documentaries & Development for Thirteen, will interview Ms. Kopple.

Variety Executive Editor Steven Gaydos will moderate the conversation, entitled “New York Independent Film: Rewind & Fast Forward.”
