US Premiere
Friday, October 3, 2025
After a lifetime of marriage, the souls of recently deceased Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) and her husband Larry (Miles Teller) find themselves in an afterlife that offers numerous ways to spend eternity. Infinite summers on the French Riviera, day after day in the Swiss Alps, even one never-ending night of dancing in ecstasy—could all be yours in this heaven-set romantic comedy. However, once a choice is made, it cannot be reversed. Just as Joan and Miles begin to consider their forever decision, Joan is struck by the presence of her first husband, Luke (Callum Turner), who died in war as a young man and has been waiting to spend eternity with her ever since. Racing against the clock, Joan searches for the answer to an impossible question while Luke and Larry face off to prove their worthiness.
Featuring hilarious and heartfelt scene-stealing performances from supporting cast including Academy Award® Winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph and John Early, director David Freyne blends whimsical movie magic of yesteryear with fresh stylings of today. In this delightfully imaginative cosmic love triangle, ETERNITY explores the makings of a romantically fulfilling life—even when it’s over. An A24 Films release.
