Driving Directions From Manhattan
Travel Time: approx. 2 hours, 45 minutes. Distance: 105 miles (173 km)
- Take the Queens Midtown Tunnel to I-495 East (Long Island Expressway).
- Take Exit 70, onto Route 111 South.
- Take Route 111 South approximately 5 miles to Route 27 East (Montauk Highway).
- Follow Route 27 East into the village of East Hampton (approx. 30 miles).
- The main festival venue is the United Artists Theater in the center of town on the right.

Free parking is available in the public lot on Lumber Lane.

HAMPTON JITNEY
Hampton Jitney offers convenient direct motorcoach service from various stops in New York City to the Hamptons for the film festival. Arriving via JFK or LaGuardia? Hampton Jitney has a convenient airport connection stop just a short taxi ride from the airport.
JITNEY LOOP
Avoid traffic, parking tickets, and rising gas prices by taking advantage of our free Hampton Jitney shuttle service, which will be running during the Festival. The shuttle loop will include stops at the majority of the festival venues, and additional stops will be added for the Opening and Closing events. You can also present your film ticket or pass to board any regular Hampton Jitney for service to their normal scheduled stops from Westhampton to Montauk.

Where should I stay during the Festival?
Lodging in East Hampton sells out quickly, so make sure to book your room early! It is a holiday weekend (Columbus Day) so many hotels have 3- or 4-night minimums. There are no chain hotels, mostly smaller inns and bed & breakfasts. A few places are offering festival discounts:
The East Hampton House, a 52-room resort set in the midst of East Hampton, may have a few rooms available, and is offering filmmakers a festival discounted rate when you mention HIFF. The hotel is convenient to town and is a stop on the Festival Shuttle Loop.
Blakes Bed & Breakfast (77 Pantigo Road / Rte. 27), a 3-room B&B in East Hampton, is offering a festival discount: $150 tax included, when you mention HIFF. Call/email for availability inquiries: 631.324.1815 / blake1815@gmail.com
Ocean Vista Resort, located 9 miles from East Hampton Village, roughly a 10/12 minute drive:
Room rates are: $175/per night – when you mention HIFF. The hotel is located across from the Napeague Hampton Jitney bus stop and on the ocean. (PLEASE NOTE: the Ocean Vista Resort is not a stop on the Film Festival Shuttle Loop.

Southampton has many hotel options (about 20-30 minutes away).
Village Latch Inn is a charming inn located in the heart of Southampton Village, is offering a festival discount when you mention HIFF.
Sag Harbor, a quaint, historic whaling village (about 15 minutes away) hosts some of our festival venues.
Montauk (about 20 minutes away) is also right on the ocean and has several hotels and motels.
