SummerDocs Wraps with MIDDLETOWN

Our 17th annual season of SummerDocs wrapped up with a wonderful screening of MIDDLETOWN, Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine’s winning documentary about about a group of high school students in early 1990s Upstate New York who, with their unconventional teacher, uncovered and exposed a local conspiracy involving toxic waste and organized crime through a student film.

The evening began with lovely garden party hosted by Mary Jane and Charles Brock and Pat Swinney Kaufman and Lloyd Kaufman, which moved onto the veranda once the rains came. Guests then moved over to the screening at Guild Hall, after which Alec Baldwin and David Nugent moderated a lively Q&A with director Jesse Moss and film subjects Fred Isseks and Jeff Dutemple.

Thanks to our friends at Guild Hall, and to all who joined us! We look forward to seeing you at HIFF33, which is right around the corner. Passes and ticket packages go on sale Wednesday, September 3, and our Member Pre-sale begins on September 20, with individual tickets to the public on sale September 22.
