Summer 2020: HIFF Jr. Film Camp

Since 2008, HamptonsFilm has produced a series of student Film Camps in partnership with both Guild Hall (EH) and Southampton Arts Center (SH).

Students ages 9-15 are grouped according to genre interest, creating a fully-edited short film in one week, while learning essential elements of filmmaking under the direction of industry professionals. At week’s end, campers screen their films for friends & family on “the big screen,” complete with red carpet entry and VIP photos.

Created by HamptonsFilm Executive Director Anne Chaisson, these student filmmaking workshops provide a creative outlet and thorough introduction to visual storytelling, helping students launch their own projects for fun, passion, and perhaps the cultivation of a future career!

Classes run Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm, with an hourlong screening on Saturday at 10am.
