Hamptons International Film Festival > Enjoy Documentaries? Find Out Our Summer Picks!
To kick off our popular SummerDocs series, we’re featuring Malik Bendjelloul’s “Searching for Sugar Man“. According to Alec Baldwin, this film “introduces you to people you will never forget.” On Friday, July 6th at 7pm, this Sony Pictures Classics release will screen at Guild Hall with a post-film discussion hosted by Alec Baldwin.
The second film in the series is “Detropia” from the dynamic filmmaking duo Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady. “Detropia” creates a dreamlike profile of a grand city balancing on the edge of dissolution. “Detropia” will screen at Guild Hall Saturday on July 21 at 8 pm, and Baldwin will host a discussion with the directors afterwards. Tickets for the screenings are available for purchase at www.guildhall.org or at the Guild Hall Box Office.
Mark you calendars: these nights are not to be missed!
And stay tuned for a full listing of our SummerDocs Series. It’s a great time of the year to get out of the city, enjoy the Hamptons beaches, and watch the highest quality and most entertaining films with your friends and family.
