The 2017 HIFF Screenwriters Lab was a great success! The 17th edition of the Lab began Friday evening with screenwriters and mentors arriving in Sag Harbor for a weekend of conversation and collaboration.
In between one-on-one mentor sessions, the group traveled to the Ross School on Saturday afternoon for a Master Class in screenwriting from former mentor and festival juror Michael H. Weber (500 DAYS OF SUMMER).
The weekend wrapped with one final session that allowed each writer to discuss his or her screenplay with the whole group. The insightful conversation was lovely way to end the Lab. Thanks to all our mentors and participants for a fantastic weekend!
And then on Sunday night, we were lucky enough to host Edie Falco for a screening of JUDY BERLIN (HIFF 1999) at the Bay Street Theater, as part of the 25 Years: 25 Films series! More films are on the horizon; please join us for this ongoing celebration of our Silver Anniversary.
